Celebrate Your Wins

Today I want to encourage you to celebrate your wins. Wins are those steps and actions you’re taking that are helping you get to your outcomes and they should be acknowledged and celebrated.


Taking the time to reflect on and feel the emotional connection with our accomplishments helps us to enjoy our journey and stay motivated. And, we don’t have to wait for the “big” win before we celebrate. Every win can be embraced with enthusiasm. It’s your win!


We tend to think that celebrating ourselves has to be expensive. But that’s not necessarily so. Here are a few ideas for you to consider.


1.     Buy a candle. Consider trying a new fragrance to celebrate stepping outside your

comfort zone or accomplishing something new.

2.     Dance like crazy to your favorite song.

3.     Pat yourself on the back! Look at yourself in the mirror and congratulate yourself.

4.     Enjoy a cigar, a special dessert, or a coffee.

5.     Purchase flowers or balloons.

6.     Journal about your process and feelings. Allow yourself to smile, and feel joy and

pride.

7.     Share with a friend who would appreciate hearing your news.

8.     Write your wins on post-its and stick them on a board, wall, mirror, or anywhere that

they could serve as visual motivators and confidence builders.

9.     Give yourself time away from work; 10-15 minute break, take off early, work half a day.


These are a few ideas. Share with me how you celebrate your wins. I need to build my repertoire.
