What Would Jesus Thank You For?

In The Chosen Season 5, there's an episode that shows a tender moment where Jesus sits at the table with the women who followed Him, breaking bread and speaking words of gratitude for their sacrifices, love, and service. He didn't overlook them. He noticed. He thanked them. That moment made me pause and ask myself, "If Jesus sat across from me today, what would He thank me for?" I believe...
He thanks us for our hidden faithfulness. So much of what we do never makes headlines. We whisper prayers in the middle of the night, choose kindness when anger is easier, and show up for people when they don't show up for us. Jesus notices the hidden things. Matthew 6:4.
He thanks us for loving others in His name. Every act of compassion, encouragement, or hospitality is a reflection of His heart. What you may consider small, He calls significant. Matthew 25:40
He thanks us for carrying our cross daily. The suffering we endure with faith, the disappointments we trust Him through, and the sacrifices that shape our character are the crosses we carry. Jesus sees every tear, every surrender, and every YES to His will. Luke 9:23
He thanks us for saying yes to Him again and again. Discipleship isn't defined by one big decision. It's thousands of quiet yeses over our lifetime. It's a continual rhythm of YES. Every time we choose Him over self, He sees it all.
Jesus knows your faithfulness and your love. Let words of His thanks echo in your heart: I see you. I know you. I thank you.
Tête-a-Tête ......If Jesus sat with you tonight, what do you imagine He would thank you for?
Always encouraging reflection,

As I struggle through this difficult period of my life, your writings remind me of the voice I am hearing in my mind right now. The voices of sorrow and grief. However, I should be listening to the voice of God telling me that though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, He is with me.
Thank you for reminding us that whatever we face in life, we should listen to the voice of God reminding us that this is temporal, that though weeping may endure for a night, joy comes in the morning. May God continue to bless and keep you, sister, just as He continues to keep us. Love you-Vera
